Success Story of SelectStat

Background

Sean and Phil, the co-founders of SelectStat, approached us after dealing with a web designer that, let's just say, didn't meet their expectations. We decided to implement their grand vision in a series of steps.

Their dream was to create a website that allows non-pro athletes to track their progress by keeping track of their game statistics.

First Phase

In the first phase, we developed the user management aspects of the website. This included user registration and profile management for athletes and coaches. Once the clients learnt that they could trust us (they had been burnt before, after all) we started working on the second phase.

Second Phase

The second phase of development was very exciting. The vision of the co-founders was for SelectStat to enable athletes from all types of different sports to improve their game through statics keeping software. Instead of limiting the capabilities of the website to include only one sport at a time, we implemented an amazing feature that allows the website administrators to add game tracking statistics for any sport! In a nutshell, instead of SelectStat waiting weeks and maybe months to launch a specific sport, now they can do it in a matter of clicks! That's what excited us about phase two!

I first used Gezim Hoxha as a programmer on the recommendation of a close friend and designer. He far exceeded all of our expectations. Not only did he deliver on what we were asking him to design, but he created an intuitive robust program in less time than he told us it would take. Then he took it a step further by suggesting modifications to our program parameters that in the end added significant value business, and reduced our long-term costs.

Third Phase

SelectStat development extended to phase three which included social networking aspects. We wanted to allow athletes, coaches, parents, and recruiters to communicate by "friending" each other. This tool enhanced their website and made it more interactive and engaging for their clients.

Conclusion

Sean and Phil have been amazing people to work with. Our friendship continues to this day. We are now looking to further develop the software to enhance the user experience.
